MODERN BOHEMIAN:Washington

An 1880s home with many generations of additions over the decades left this garden feeling like a patchwork. The existing brick patio was expanded using reclaimed bricks. Dull wall to wall concrete pavement was removed for softening planting beds and a brick path for consistency and drainage where pooling and puddles and been a problem. The outdoor room effect was finished with king palms who trunks create architectural 'columns' and fronts suggest a ceiling.
